Best crepes in Paris If you are not far from Notre-Dame, don’t hesitate

Having just arrived in Paris, we got out of the metro at St Michel and strolled around Notre Dame...the trip, the late evening, all of that had left us hungry. We passed by La sarrasine this Monday evening, not many people but the menu and the prices convinced us to go in...we were not disappointed, the onion soup, the lasagna, the chicken rice curry, pancakes with apples, etc...a delight. And the full menu for €15, unbeatable...we highly recommend.

We had excellent crêpes & galettes in this restaurant. They have tasty alternative options if you're not in the mood for crêpes. The place is not big and the tables are small, but the service is friendly and good. Will come back again.

This was a happy accident as our originally planned recommended restaurant from Rick Steves wasn’t open yet so we went with google reviews and ate dinner here instead. Rag (he spelled it for us this way but it’s pronounced Rahj) was our server and I think is the owner and couldn’t have been more delightful. He was so kind and witty! He’s lived in France for many years and it sounded like his family is from Sri Lanka. He had just decorated the interior and exterior with many roses (silk but a very good takeout) like a week before in addition to the nautical knots. It wasn’t busy at first when we arrived but then a tour group of high schoolers came in for a bit to order a bunch of crepes to go. Rag (Raj?) was so good at keeping his cool as it suddenly got so busy! The food was quite delicious (we did a prix fixe 3-course option that was very reasonably priced). What a treat to just decide on a whim on a place and love everything! Grateful.

We only had time for a galette and it was delicious. The place is tiny (normal by Parisian standards anyway) but the servers were very helpful and do the best they can. It deserves to have a higher rating.

Surprisingly good food and reasonable prices mere feet from Notre Dame. Decent portions too. The food is fresh and tasty. Great little find.

I have never eaten such delicious pancakes!

The service is great. But food is really bad. I’m surprised they are 4,5 star
