This place is a must-try for those who is looking for authentic French cuisine - we ordered the pan seared foie gras definitely a must-have dish. I had pan seared foie gras from Spain and another French restaurant the days before dining here, no comparison to this place - it was cooked perfectly. We also order the duck breast, Rib of veal, cassoulet, and foie gras salad - EVERYTHING was AWESOME - it should be mentioned that the restaurant manager Alexander was fun, attentive, and very friendly - the food quality and the service deserve a 5 star 🌟

Very good service, Chinese menu makes ordering more convenient. The foie gras appetizer and the main course (duck confit and steak) were both very good. The fruit paired with the foie gras and the salad of the main course reduced a lot of the greasy taste. Very good match.

All the dishes were excellent, some were even surprising, I will come back! However, the cassoulet disappointed me a little. The cassoulet was actually very good, but the skin of the duck confit in the cassoulet wasn't crispy enough, which affected the overall texture.

Warm place, and truly excellent cuisine! A good time, in a good South West spirit atmosphere. The menu is limited, but of high quality, and the choice of wines is wide and relevant. I highly recommend the lamb fondant, to die for... It would be unreasonable to say that we would believe it as the small restaurants of the South West are inimitable, but Once upon a Goose in the South West is worth the detour!

A friend recommended that we have dinner here and we are so glad we did. The restaurant is cosy and comfortable, the staff welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The food is delicious. It was our first time having fois gras and it was delicious, as was the duck confit and cassoulet. A wonderful evening that we will treasure always.

02/04/2024: A good restaurant with a few details to improve. Very good dishes with dinner at the end of the winter season even if the endives were a little bitter but the fish was delicious. The wine is also very good. The only real negative point is the space in the room. To make the restaurant as profitable as possible, the tables are very close together and you have the impression of eating on your neighbor's lap and it is very hot in the upstairs room.
