Six family members and a rather boisterous puppy lunched here. The main guest was my sister who was visiting from the UK to say farewell having been told she has just a few months to live. Her husband, my daughter, my present wife and my former wife completed the group. My sister is seriously handicapped, barely able to stand let alone walk, and rides in a four-wheeled electric vehicle. Outdoor eating was not possible so to access the dining room we needed to scale three high steps. The staff, helped by fellow guests, were amazing. She was lifted into a chair and four people carried her up the stairs to our table. The same happened in reverse after we had finished. And the food?! Superb! Three of us went a la carte and three took the lunch menu. All dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty. A sad event but one that all of us will remember for a very long time.
